On second thought, I am looking at Miles and the program with guarded optimism. I remember when the defense looked lost the first two games, Miles made the comment that the defense scheme was fine, it was the players that missed assignments, and basically stuck with Pellini when emotions were high. He also got some heat because of those comments. Well, it turns out that he was right. The same thing with his emphasis on special teams play which he and his coaches delivered. That tells me he is not that dumb about football. So, now the main question remains how he works with Jimbo, as to who is the better or more correct play caller.
