So the Fermi paradox is basically...... mathematically speaking, there should be life all over the universe or maybe did exist at some point in time. But the paradox is where is everyone? And then the great filter theory is basically, civilization throughout time when they have gained the ability to kill themselves they do, we reached that point about 100 years ago. So if you believe in the quantum stuff and we are in a simulation and we are all made up of computer code, are we close to killing ourselves off and filtering humans out of existence?
