when i was around 13 or 14 i was obsessed with LSU basketball. i was a huge fan of vernel singleton, and then clarence caesar, and that 3 he used to bury from the baseline.

i remember vernel singleton did a little acting in addition to playing overseas.

tourette's syndrome. remember that time he got a technical for yelling out random words and the ref thought he was calling him out?

Chris Jackson runs a house for young adults with drug problems in Mississippi, I believe.

    Wow, talking about memory lane.
I was also shocked to realize CJ or Rauf is almost as old as me.
He is too old to play basketball at that level for very long kinda like Shaq.
    How time flys!

Georgia on the road. I'll never forget it....had that one won.

That's one of thsoe unbelieveable moments like kneeling on the 1 yard line.

No doubt Sour. I still talk about CJ being the best damned college shooter I ever saw. I haven't seen one close to him in college since.

Remember the Ole Miss game with CJ and Gerald Glass dueling by raining 3's all night? I think Chris had like 50 and Glass had 55 or something.

I wonder what ever happened to Gerald Glass cause he could light it up as well.

Remember CJ's Florida debut as a freshman and blowing out the gate with 55. The Vanderbilt game at home with us down by 2 and they flip to CJ from the baseline with the 3 to win.

Those were good days....I was in high school and things were easy back then.

Craig, agree CJ was fun to watch! The Ole Miss battle with Gerald Glass was one for the ages. I remember the Fla game because I had heard we had some great guard but wasn't a believer. Then I saw him foul 3 Fla guards out, hit for over 50, and take a lob pass and slam it home. CJ was unreal. He had a crossover dribble jumpshot, unstoppable. Sometimes he'd jump to shoot, a big guy would jump with him, so he'd bounce it off their body, let it hit the ground, and take it around them for a score.

That Georgia loss was at home. I was there and remember it unfortunately. See my post earlier in this thread with details.
