I hope Orgeron isn't even a candidate for waterboy at LSU. We have an elite program. We must have elite coaches. Orgeron's players hated him. Couldn't wait till he got canned before they started badmouthing his philosophies in print. LSU can and will do better. Bring back Muschamp, I say. Or get Tenuta on board. Any other names traveling down the grapevine?
that just isn't true. you want me to find you a story with quotes from the guys being furious over him being canned?
Well, perhaps I shouldn't have generalized. But a large contingent of the players didn't like him. In the Commercial Appeal they said football under Orgeron wasn't any fun, prompting Houston Nutt to say at his introductory press conference, "You spell fun w-i-n."
BATON ROUGE -- The LSU Board of Supervisors on Thursday approved the formation of a search committee for an athletic director and a budget for the Tigers' appearance in the BCS title game Jan. 7 at the Superdome. Link To Original Article
:champs: I heard that Georgia Tech hired the coach from Navy (can't think of his name right now). Has anyone heard any truth to that rumor? If so, could make the hire of Tenuta as DC more likely.:crystal:
I think we can quit haggling over Coach Orgeron.... it won't be him. :crystal: :geaux: :crystal: :geaux: :crystal:
:champs: I just don't think LSU would even want him in the first place. He isn't that good from all indications, plus he obviously has some issues with LSU that seem to go deeper than just being an opposing SEC coach (former). Remember the Joe McKnight issue? If that was true, I wouldn't want a coach who helped another school (USC) recruit someone just to ensure LSU didn't get him. Something wrong with that picture. :geaux: :geauxtige :crystal:
He's unemployed, not a head coach anywhere. If he has half a brain he will grab on to the first decent team that wants him to be anything above waterboy. I have a feeling that his options will be fairly limited, JMO.
I will give my left nut, right nut, and all semen produced by me for the rest of my life if Muschamp would come back. Saturday nights in Tiger Stadium watching the most exciting blitz packages in college football......I'd do anything to have those nights back.
