See the WVU Facebook page regarding this incident, which is for real: https://www.facebook.com/wvumountaineers?sk=wall Local TV station in WV reporting it as well: 4 LSU Fans Assaulted After WVU Game - WBOY-TV - WBOY.com Disgusting. :geauxtige
I was just about to post that this was probably like so many of the accusations against LSU fans.... then I found this.... 4 LSU Fans Assaulted After WVU Game - State Journal - STATEJOURNAL.com Sorry... see that I was slow!
Yeah the above came across my TeamStream on my iPhone a little while ago while I was outside watching the crew frame up hubby's man-cave.
I am glad to see that this has finally been made public by WVU. I hope that someone comes forward with any clues or information that could lead to who is responsible. Thanks guys for posting the links.
Our theory is that no one expected the Seahawks to be in that game. They were 7-9 coming in. Tickets were going for face value, or less. Many season-ticket holders sat out the game, expecting a huge loss. This opened the door for the least common denominator to come in and exert their presence. I don't think it is reflective of Seattle and PNW generally, but it really was a bad day for them. At times, the PNW puts it's worst foot forward. WTO in Seattle, Bush visits in Porltand, Canucks fans rioting in Vancouver after a tough SCF loss, etc. There seems to be a lot more anger in the north, and I have lived in two northern areas. The PNW and the Northeast/New England.
What do you think of the characterization of the injuries as "minor"? Seems untrue from your reports.
Surely Saban's kin were not a part of this altercation. Wait, on second thought, everyone's kin there. BTW, I have to admit that I am originally from WVA, though a long time ago.
