Sonofabitch!! my impatience may have cost me a shot at him.
over the last few weeeks, I have slowly been able to get closer and closer before he would go under and disappear. Today, I was less than 3 ft from him. Instead of just accepting that, and getting even closer in the nnext week or two, I hooked him with a perch hook from a lil Zebco. Dumb idea!
He got pissed!! Fought him for a few minutes, but he popped the line and is probably gone.

If he returns, I'll have to change my gameplan. I'm pretty sure he'll never let me get close enough to just pounce on him and wrestle him to the bank. I may have to go old scholl on his @$$ and set a line with a chicken leg or something. Then I can slap him on the grill.

Yesterday, I let my impatience get the best of me. All I could think about was bringing him to the Box Saturday and chucking him on Salty's pit. Doesn't look like that's gonna happen now.

Here was another thought though what were you going to do after you caught him, you would have been pretty dirty and don't you do this on your lunch break? I can see nootch walking back in the office covered head to toe in mud yelling "I GOT HIM!!!"

Second thought, how were you going to explain the gator to the wife? "honey I don't know I came out of the office, slipped in the mud, and then got to my truck and there was a gator in the bed." Think she is going to buy it???

We have a shower at the office, so that is not going to be a problem.
Plus, everyone knows of my intentions. I also try this after work when he is out in the open. I was hoping for someone to video my attempt.

Cross that bridge when I get to it. But knowing me as well as I do, I would probably brag quite a bit when I got home.

Well thank goodness my off season is saved! We really need more pics or video of you trying to sneak around to this thing. Get those boys at lsu to start helping out so we can get some entertainment!

Should this be a separate thread? I think so, this has major potential!
