Yeah a lot of people saying that. I never lost power at my house though. Made it to work today. 75 is pretty clear, 635 is hit or miss but not too bad. The tollway is still ice covered but there is a heavy layer of sand on it so there is some traction.
A little sleet here and there around Morgan City today and the temp never got above 35. More expected tomorrow....schools are closed.
This weather is miserable. I went outside because I am getting brutal cabin fever and my garage doors were frozen in. So I dug them out only relalize the driveway is impassable (I have a steep driveway) as it has 2.5 inches of pure ice on it. So even I managed to get out of the garage without my vehicle sliding into the side there is no chance i could get back in.. I hate winter, give me 110 over this any day.
just over freezing and ice everywhere. i was just walking about, and an ice sheet the size of a window slid off a roof and shattered right in front of me. it smashed and just missed me. i said "holy **** i almost just got lit the **** up".
I'm not sure about the 110 degrees. We'll have to check back in on that idea in July. But this sub-freezing weather sucks. Third day off from school in February (tomorrow) is sorta sweet--if I could get out of the house.
Humidity doesn't do anything to wind chill. All wind chill is a less than scientific way to make it seem worse than it is. It just means that it feels colder because of wind.
i dont know sista. the entire state doesnt get shut down because of 110 degrees. this snow and ice shyt sucks big hairy balls. i am sick of it phucking up my plans!
