tell me about it! i just went out and shoveled snow on the patio to try to keep it from getting into the sliding glass door tracks every time i let the dogs in and out. i looked like the little kid in "a christmas story". and yes, sf, i had on the sleeping bag coat.
that is cold! make the 10 degrees with minus 11 windchill here look warm. our winds have slowed down a bit to 26 mph, so hopefully they will keep slowing down. anyone that has to be out in this crap, stay safe.
Our school district has canceled school already for tomorrow. This is an almost unprecedented move by the district, but I couldn't get out of my driveway if I tried. Not only was my garage door frozen shut earlier today, but there are 3 or so inches of unbudging ice caked on the driveway. If I tried to get out, I can easily picture crashing through my alley neighbor's fence and plummeting into his pool.
First winter living outside of St Louis. 16 with a wind chill of around 4. Snowed and iced in. Work will call me if they need me.
four degrees, minus fifteen windchill. the roads are slowly getting grated, salted and sanded. but still not good enough to get out if you dont have to. so its another day stuck at home and going stir crazy! and i just saw we may have another round of snow early next week. great, two weeks this weather can completely phuck up!
15 degrees in Dallas with a -5 wind chill. Not that I would really know because I'm still iced into my house. Rolling blackouts started in the area around 6 a.m. Now THAT is big fun!
