It stormed here last night, set off the tornado sirens and then it went away about 15 minutes later. it's clear and about 61 tonight. good work grad:rofl:
last night we had hail that was so small but so much of it that i still have an area on my patio where it piled up that is about 8 inches high, a foot wide, and about 2 feet long. my dog thinks its a nice big icee to munch on.
28 degrees, feels like 16. freezing rain and snow. looks like Okie is getting it worse than us though.
yep. by late afternoon yesterday, the ground was completely covered with sleet and ice. been snowing for a while now. luckily not heavily and not at all the blizzard like we had christmas eve. the doomsday predictions originally for this storm have been toned down to just 2-3 inches snow. its the layer of ice and sleet underneath the snow that is the problem. and its 24 degrees right now so this sh*t isnt melting. i definitely wont be getting out today.
In a cabin atop lookout mountain in Fort Payne, Alabama. 30 degrees. Sleet off and on since 4pm, gonna continue through the night Chance of snow tomorrow. Windy, and phucking cold.
Mid 30s for the high today. Light mist falling. Breezy, but not bad. A little chilly for a marsh rat like myself, but tolerable. 40% chance of snow from 2 to 6 pm. Quite beautiful up on the mountain. Will post pics when I get home (no clue how to do that from a blackberry). Was a cool looking chunk/sheet of ice on top of the central ac unit when I woke up this morning. Anyone looking for a weekend getaway in an antique cabin setting, I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recomend Bear Creek Log Cabins up here.
Was 27 when we got out of the hot tub (outdoors, no roof). Not as cold as I expected, but the ice on the deck was slippery as hell. Currently 23. Really enjoying the weekend getaway sans-kids, but its time to head towards warmer climate tomorrow! P.S. If any of you have any lost luggage from your travels, I know where they're selling/sold it.
