We just fell below freezing in Plano, and school is being released at 1 p.m., in hopes of folks getting in before the roads get really bad. The weather can do whatever it wants after I get home.
Ice storm last night. Many branches and some entire trees down in our yard. Power was off for most of the day - just got it back. Supposed to be a rerun tonight. I can't wait. Hope we don't lose power again. Got pretty cold!
Tonight it's a balmy 45 and clear. A few days ago it snowed all across eastern North Carolina. We got about 3 inches here, and that was the first time I had ever driven in snow. When people from the Nawth make fun of people who drive like idiots in snow, they're talking about me.
We got our ice storm last night, and it was enough to cancel school today, though it's starting to melt off now. What am I doing with my day off? Absolutely nothing...
Amazingly pleasant here. Upper 30's. As I drove to work, I saw a sign that read "Crawfish coming soon". I stopped to gas up and read another sign that said "HOT BOUDIN HERE". As I got close to work, I could see the upper decks of Tiger Stadium over the tree tops as I drove down Nicholson. I arrived at work and parked on the side of one of my favorite oak trees. Repeat Indefinitely!
DAMN YOU man. It is ALL I have to brag about. In other news, the wife is spotting. Please God, make it all go away, cept well, the weather. I will now suffer in silence.
Upper 20's here. The ice storm has passed, but we're under a "freezing fog advisory" (whatever that is.)
