It was nice here on the beach today...doubt that makes you feel any better. The clouds we had were a welcomed site. Should have cut the grass today, but I think i will wait until its hotter...high 90's here on Tuesday i believe...that will be the day i cut the grass.
it's heading almost due west right now. Hopefully it goes WAY PUCKING west of here. Rita hit at the State line and still surrounded my house with more than 2 feet of water. Edit to Add: Just checked, I'm under a "Tropical Storm Warning" which means only that it's going to get a bit windy here, and a lil rainfall in the next day or two.
Yeah if it stays on course and goes west like they are saying....but at 12 today they said that it would reach TD strenght sometime tonight or even tommorrow. I dont let me guard down until those things have hit somewhere else.
Hott. Hottt. Hotttttttttttt. We were outside early doing some work in our flower beds but it was still sweltering. I think I started to melt after about 5 mins.
Welcome to summer in North Texas. I hate it...really, really, HATE it. The weather in Galveston was awesome the past few days. It was hot and humid during the day, but we went to the beach two nights in a row around 7 p.m. and stayed out until dark. The breezes (winds, really) were incredible, and it was so comfortable. It almost made me want to live down there. Getting back home and seeing Galveston under a TS watch reminded me why it's better just to visit there. But still, the heat up here is horrible.
Hey Nootch be ready man Bob Breck says he has a bad feeling if this storm doesnt start picking up speed.
