Same here. I think my grandmother used to call that "Hash." I cant eat liver by itself and will not eat bouie but my dad used to cook some once and a while and really liked it. I get "Dressing meat" at the local butcher shop but I'm sure even the Savoies has liver doesn't it?
I say crab gumbo is the best tasting. Seafood gumbo in general is great. Chicken and sausage is our staple gumbo and you can never go wrong with it. I hate okra. I like my roux medium brown, definitely not dark.
well I must be missing out then. I dont understand the potatoe salad thing. king crab legs in gumbo is probably the best.
All I want is Gumbo or Red beans and Rice now... I think until I get home again I am going to have to stay away from good eats....
