Old fashioned Jambalaya with heavily smoked tasso ham is still my favorite meal with beer

  4. Here's a weird one. Steamed artichokes with lemon/buttersauce.

That works for me if its laying on a plate next to some rare prime rib and a lobster tail.

I thought that chicken and sausage was all there was in a proper jambalaya until I ate a tasso and shrimp jambalaya once.

    I can still taste it.

There is a "black-eyed pea jambalaya" in Rogets cookbook that is awfully good, too. You wouldn't think it, but it is.

Reading this thread has made me hungry. Again.

Fried oysters or fried shrimp. And bread pudding with lemon sauce. Yum!

I went to the store yesterday and got what I needed to make the guys at the Fire Station a pot of chicken and sausage gumbo. After reading this thread, it is gonna be hard to get it to them instead of eating a lot of it myself.

My favorite *Food Dish* is Chicken Lasagna at Victoria's Pasta Shop in Norman. They also have the best Cheese Bread and Garlic Bread on the planet.

If I was going to the electric chair tomorrow that would be my last meal.

  10. hell yeh... that'll work
