Whats Your Favorite Food?

    Barbeque brisket, slow cooked and falling apart, accompanied by:
    baked beans with onions,
    cole slaw with peanuts,
    potato salad with mustard and green olives
    fresh baked bread

    no room for dessert, usually, but ideally:
    peach cobbler

    Red Beans and Rice, like Granny used to make.

    A very close runner-up: Hot Roast Beef Po-Boy from Teddy's Grill in New Orleans. Never eaten one better than that. Not Mother's, not Serio's. There is none better. And for sure, there isn't one in Baton Rouge that even comes close.

    crawfish fettucini
    crawfish etouffee
    mustard greens and hot cornbread
    grayson's chip beef sandwich on homemade bun

    Crawfish Etouffee
    Crab Gumbo
    Godfather's combo pizza (less the nasty olives....too bad they couldn't survive)
    Chicken and Smoked Sausage Gumbo (my mom's only...well maybe my sister-in-law's too)
    Chicken fettucini alfredo
    Cush Cush
    The Turkey Ranch with Swiss sandwich at Quiznos.....mmm mmm.....toasty!
    Red Beans and Rice (hard to find some real good one though)

    whats that? i am guessing there are alternate spellings of this and its also the couscous? the thing from the song (hot boudin, cold coowhatever, cmon tigers and push push push?). my family isnt from baton rouge so we never had that kind of thing, what is that?

    i know there is a thing called cous cous maybe and that is like a moroccan rice? is it similar?
