What objective though? Are we Texas gA&M now?

 

We all better hope it does. As of now 247 Sports has us at # 26. 8 SEC schools are ranked higher than LSU. We have powerhouse schools like Indiana, Boston College, Rutgers and Virginia Tech listed with. better recruiting classes.

 

Hoping we get around 18 on early signing day & finish up with a full 25. Plus hope we take 6-7 portal transfers.

I don't know what to think of BK, but he's going to need players. And not the insufferable pussies that jump into the portal if they have to wait their turn or whatever.

Maybe no such players exist anymore. dunno. I'd rather take a lower ranked 3 star, than a star portal jumping fool, who thinks he's great until he gets his feelings hurt on the field. Sometimes the 3 stars easily outplay the 4 star players, sometimes not. But some 3 stars do give the extra effort on every play.

That is called "coaching them up" and I agree, take the kids that can be coached and hope he has the staff that can do it.

 

Speaking of "stars" I caught some of Brent Venables press conference here last week. He said something that I found very interesting. I'm going to paraphrase but he said something to the effect of "a lot of people recruit based on rivals rankings and how many stars they have by their names or how fast can they run the 40 or how high they can jump and no one looks to see how they actually play football".

I like it, and I think that fits right into the above conversation
