Red is correct. Obviously, the super rich do spend a lot of money, but they spend a lower total percentage of their income. Most of the middle class is living beyond their means, while the super rich live under their means.
the real inequality is in payroll taxes. only the first 80k is taxed. how about a flat tax on worth? talk about stimulate consumer confidence.
Agreed, but isn't it up into the 6 figures now like 110K? The majority of my net worth is tied up in assets i cant touch for another 40 years. If you tax worth there is an incentive not to save. If I were taxes on my worth id run up all my credit cards and pay them down over the rest of my life. That isnt healthy for an economy.
