You needed a lucky fourth down and long completion to beat them 2 years ago. Don't act like it was an ownage game.
The same could be said for Auburn regarding Georgia being a different team... What's the point in that argument?
The point is, is that everybody this year thinks that this Auburn team is the same as last year. No QB, just a couple of decent RBs, shut them down, you own the rest of them. Thats not going to work this year.
Well, I can relate to that.. Many people "blew off" LSU last year thinking they would stop us, only to miserably fail... But what I mean is, ALL teams are different this year. It's a given... Yes, Auburn has a strong team this year... But I'm saying the same thing you are... Don't get to comfortable... Georgia will not just shut down the running backs, or the QB.. they will likely do both if they play with the same kind of intensity they showed against us. No RB, No Passing.... who the hell's gonna score then? Tubby?
Peabody, I kinda sorta understand where you are coming from, but even this 2-3 LSU team (and, seriously, they should be 2-3) isn't 29 points worse than Georgia. The Bulldogs just willed and executed their way to a blowout, even though the talent disparity wasn't enough to warrant a blowout. What the Bulldogs did was very impressive, and teams are allowed to grow, mature and improve as the season progresses, meaning throwing Ga. Souther in their face will soon become as old as the people who threw Alabama in your face by the end of last season. Champions play big in big games and Georgia is without peer in the SEC since 2002 in winning those big games. Unless that train comes off the tracks, it'll be 3 consecutive SEC East titles. That's 3 in a row over Florida and Tennessee. That's no mean feat. BTW, Peabody, don't you guys have some pretty serious business to attend to this Saturday? I'd think you'd lay off a bit on who OU may face in the Orange Bowl until after you know how Saturday turns out for you. (PS-I do think the Texas-OU winner goes undefeated and plays in Miami, for what it's worth.)
And Peabody, I just want you to know. I freaking hate Texas. You guys'd better tear them into ribbons.
I am going to stick up for the Pups on this one. People make that play out to be some hail mary. It wasn't. It was a well-executed pass that was caught on a 1-1 recieving coverage. I thought UGA won that game quite well.
