It is pretty funny how they think it annoys us. Personally I like corn dogs. It amazes me even more that the rest of the SEC has picked it up considering who started it. (Auburn) Why anyone would want to be like Auburn boggles my mind. One of their traditions is throwing toilet paper all over trees after a win. How retarded is that? I'd hate to have to be the guy who has to clean all that mess up. Aubies are just special I guess...:dis:
I wouldn't want more than ONE identifiable mascot with our program either. Here's a link on the War Eagle deal. Not sure about the Elephant with bama, in fact, have wondered about that before- maybe Terry or RedElephants could splain. >The History of War Eagle<
I like corndogs too, esp with mustard. It doesn't annoy me, I'm puzzled about it really. I imagined trying to insult someone by calling them a corndog, I felt silly. I just couldn't associate anything negative with a corndog.
it's called Jealousy. Plain and simple. Reason this one for me. When fine cuisine is mentioned amongst world chef's in particular southern cuisine, it always spawns generous and gracious talk of CAJUN cooking. Louisiana, home of the finest southern cuisine, arguably the finest food ANYWHERE, makes you wonder....how then did someone pick THAT one subject to ridicule? This is beyond stupid. I could understand it if there was someone somewhere that did not realize the rich cultural food heritage that is Louisiana, but surely someone near the moron would take him/her aside and show him/her a history book or cook book or SOMETHING to keep the individual from making a total idiot of themselves. This only proves to me that Stupidity travels in packs. AND it doesnt neccessarily have to be "Auburn fans", as evident by the rest of the SEC team's fans, who latch onto this lame joke. That is WHY we dont get it, because ANYONE who is even remotely on this planet and half way educated knows of this heritage. I dont know how many companies have had sucess marketing a food item by just associating the word "Cajun" beside it, whether it deserved it or not, and the product made them rich. The first thing people up North ( I just moved to Indy ) mention to you when you say you are from Louisana is the food and LSU. Corndogs don't even come up. So what shall we say is the culprit to someone assigning the corndog thing with LSU, a college in a town/state, known world wide for 5 star cuisine? Nothing can be assigned to this but sheer stupidity.
I guess if other team's fans spent two days tailgating and drinking, they wouldn't smell like Chanel either. Some people have different priorities. Smelling like a basket of flowers instead of tailgating and visiting in the Louisiana sun just isn't that hard of a call to make.
That's perfect!!! I love when someone makes fun of grammar, spelling, etc. and misspells something while doing it. "Hygene". Classic. What a goober.
