What's the game plan? Bust a few plays and let Kyle Williams handle the halftime talk. And, for crying out loud, don't try any field goals when we have 4th and 10 inside the 35.:dis:

Miles said at his press conference, LSU will not have a let down.

On having a possible let down after such a big win...
"I can't imagine that we won't play these games full-bore. All we've done is put ourselves in a position to achieve. We've won nothing. The team we just played had the lead in the (SEC) west. The lead in the west is something that becomes really important after you have won the west. We have two games to establish that position, and I can't imagine that anybody won't be fired up to play each game one at a time with the opportunity to do what we came to do, which is win the west."

To see if JV is "our running back" for...what, exactly?

Is he the best RB still playing in 2005? Nope, that's Addai.

Would a decent showing now make him "the man" come 2006? Nope, that goes to his good friend Alley B.

In a 2 RB competition w/ Shy Carey, I guess, JV may be the man...but, since Les doesn't let Shy out to play much with his friends on Saturdays, we can't make side-by-side comparisons ourselves.

JV did a nice job of keeping Alabama honest on Saturday, and I do understand that the Bama defense is intense, but dude averaged less than 3 ypc. Not exactly a career best day, you know.

Nice pass catching and way to butch up on the 4th and goal and get 'er done, but 20 carries for 56 yds is still...20 carries for 56 yds.

loco: Bear in mind that OkieTiger is a lady. She's probably very beautiful, so, your bad manners are even more vulgar that they would be if she were ugly.

OkieTiger, you ARE beautiful, aren't you?

The team needs to keep up the focus and intensity.

BTW Ole Miss's defense always seems to step up their intensity when they play LSU. They are not to be taken lightly. Offense needs to dominate them early on.

    I'm sold!

But seriously (not that you weren't serious, OkieTiger), I would like to see Addai TRUELY 100%--but if he's not, then I would start JV (I would start JV reguardless of Addai's health. I just think he's too valuable down the road to risk injury against Ole Miss and Arkansas)...But of course, if Addai at 80% is better than JV (should troubles arrise and the game be close) then I'm not oppossed to using him. But to start, I go with JV.

Ole Miss is a better defensive team than what some people give them credit for. They're 24th in the nation in total defense (43rd vs the rush, 19th vs the pass). The Rebels' question marks, like 'Bama, isn't on defense--it's on offense were they rank 104 in total offense.

I would like to see the offense be aggressive for the first series or so. Try some 15-30 yard pass routes and see if we can't jump out to an early score/lead. If you make them play catch-up, I don't think they have the horses. However, give them too many 3-and-outs, deep in our own territory and give them a short field to work with, they'll take it (obviously) and even FG's go a long way in establishing some confidence in them.

The biggest thing that worries me about their offense is that because they've been struggling and know our defense can be dominant at times, they'll go to some trick plays; pull some things out of a hat that we've never seen them do and try to catch someone out of position. They have nothing else to play for (except for the Egg Bowl). They're gonna pull out all the stops.

For Ole Miss, they aren't going to worry about taking risks and failing....

We need to score early and make them play from behind. They get behind by a couple of score early, and it decreases the chances for too many trick plays because that's when they're not going to want to risk a turn-over, and risk getting blown out.

If we come out aggressive but can't execute for the first few series, then you'll probably see a more "ball control" offense to keep their defense on the field and eventually just try to wear them down.

Based on what I've said, I'm gonna predict:

    LSU! 24
    :eek:lefire: 13
