Here is the lowdown on where to eat I am originally from this area and have been back for about 3 years now having lived in Baton Rouge and Mississippi for the years preceeding. The best place to eat in the Beaumont area (HANDS DOWN!!!) is BRAD's PLACE in downtown Beaumont. I have taken many a people there, all of which have eaten at some of the best places in New Orleans and all of them rave about this place. Try it you won't be disappointed. If you want PURE cajun food, then LARRY's French Market in Groves is the best. They have an excellent buffett, bands almost every night playing good cajun music, and some of the coldest beer in town. Hope this helps!! GEAUX TIGERS!!ldskule:
Thanks sjeff. I think I'll give Brad's or Larry's a shot this trip....gotta leave at 5am to drive down tomorrow. Good food and cold beer at the end of the day will be a welcome relief.... I'll post my thoughts on'em this week. Thanks again for all the suggestions everyone. I'll try as many as I can....
For reference, since I'll be in Houston also this week and next.... where is Boudreuax's? Do you know what street it is on?
Figures. I call Brad's Place in Beaumont for directions at 430pm today and guess what, they are closed on Tuesday nights! Dang it! Had to settle for Chili's instead, since the WSOP comes on at 8pm and I didn't feel like looking around for any replacement..... Will try again later...
WSOP is almost a network all of its own with the repeats they do on that. You coulda caught it again later.
Yeah, but I have 2 little ones at home, so I don't get to watch much of what I want, when I want.... So on the road is the only time....
