You won't have to twist my arm. For good carnitas and guacamole, I'll camp out on the sidewalk. Course, since it's Baton Rouge, I'd have to find some good Cajun food too. :yelwink2:
It will be next to the carnitas. He makes the best gumbo and Crab, corn, and brie bisque I have ever tasted. :thumb:
I started smoking a brisket Sunday morning at 9am. Took it off the grill at 6pm after the wife's broccoli casserole was done. I used persimmon to give it smoke flavor. Gosh, the meat melted in your mouth. No knife needed. The garlic was awesome, too! ...wish there were leftovers i'm staved!
I had a slice of pizza, a footlong corndog, and a sack of peanuts at the baseball game. No beer. Damn college baseball.
Sounds delicious. I love brisket on the pit but I'm the only one here who does so seldom cook it. Don't know if you did this or not but I like to put a can of water on the pit when I cook one on the pit, off to the side- keeps it moist with the humidity. Inject it too. :thumb:
Did you happen to see LSU play U of H here, maybe two years ago? They sold beer at the game and I thought it was a mistake! Does anyone know if there is a NCAA rule or just school's policing themselves?
