I was at Cape Canaveral last week and ate at Grills at Port Canaveral which was recommended by one of the guys I was visiting and also one of the guys I work with who travels to that area frequently.

Had one of the Top 10 meals ever.

Had seven large bacon wrapped grilled scallops as an appetizer followed by the house salad with honey mustard dressing. Had the grilled Mahi Mahi as the entree. It came with grilled zuchinni & squash, and new potatoes in a cream sauce (large portions). I normally don't eat dessert, but this meal was too good not to finish with dessert. I had a gigantiic piece of mud pie and waddled out of the resteraunt to my rental car.

I'm thinking of an excuse to visit Cape Canaveral in the not too distant future.

    Tonight was Outback.

Had the fried mushrooms along with the Outback Special steak.

Wife loves this place. It's good, but I'd rather eat some good mexican food.

Outback is good occasionally......too much food though and way heavy on the salt.

Good Mexican? Oh, yeah. I have a Sooner neighbor and we both LOVE La Perlita out here in South Orange County. Hands down the best carnitas.

If you ever come down for a game in Tiger Stadium, one of my best friends is an executive chef in town and he makes the best pork carnitas with homemade Guacamole.

Sausage, rice, and greasy gravy. Never could make a purty gravy with sausage but that's one I love greasy. Jalapeno and pure pork sausage. Served with potato salad, green peas, home-grown cucumbers and tomatoes, and oven baked bread.
