Naw. I've had people tell me staying at a CAMPGROUND in a CAMPER is not CAMPING... I beg to differ based on the root word argument.
i agree with you, i just actually invision tents. i camped out a few months ago on an island near the gulf but drank to many beers to make it to a tent.
Our last tent camp was invaded by raccoons when we ducked into a shelter because of a tornado threat. When we got back to the camp our tents were ripped to shreds. There is danger in those dark nights when only a thin layer of refined petroleum products separate you from the environment. By the way, the Davis Mountains are a great place to camp in during a thunderstorm. The lightning flashing off the faces of the rock and reverberating thunder are really cool. This was not the site of the raccoon attack. Oh, food item to keep from hijacking the thread....grilled catfish from the lake at Copper Breaks, where the raccoons are mean.
Last time I camped out, I slept under a rotten warf. It makes for a strange tan line the next day. Tonight I'm throwing a few redfish on the pit. :thumb:
Lil brutha, ya gonna make me pull out my ol pic?? Coulda been worse. :hihi: :thumb: Bar-b-que tommorrow!
Friend gave me a HUGE side of red fish that I plan to cook on the pit tommorrow. I seasoned it with T Boys, mustard, and lemon juice and cut several lemons and put them on it. I fish white perch, brim, and catfish and give most of it away anyway. I've never cooked red fish on the pit before.......any suggestions?? Nutriaitch and Dabbs, I know you two haul in the reds- any "Secrets"?
