    Baked potatoes with brisket tonight. Snacking on homemade hummus until then...

    corn and crab bisque. with fresh hot french bread.

    was quite tasty and soup leftovers are in the freezer for lunch one day soon!

    fried catfish, french fries, and mustard greens with pepper sauce.

    found some sweet basil sausage so I'm flipping a coin to choose between spaghetti or sausage po-boys...

    pork chops cooked/somothered in a sauce of butter, white wine, chicken broth, garlic, and lots of fresh mushrooms. served over rice. a side of spinach in a creamy parmesan sauce.

    not bad for cleaning odds and ends out of the fridge.

    Spaghetti and Meatballs. It's been about 10 years since I made spaghetti sauce from scratch. Raising kids and wanting to get food on the table quickly, jar sauce or mixes had come to the forefront in my kitchen.

    I picked up some nice tomatoes a couple of days ago planning to make salad. Inspiration hit and I decided to make spaghetti sauce from scratch. I had forgotten just how good spaghetti sauce can be. I just had some for lunch and it is even better, now that it has had a bit more time for the flavors to mature.
