I've had a steak from there- it was very good. I had a very gross $13.00 Hamburger at the Toytoa center- Go Hornets!
Subway, and I always get something I could get at home like a ham on wheat with mayo, mustard, and pickles. But it so much better at Subway.
A friend of mine is making spaghetti tonight and I'm looking forward to it. She uses Italian sausage instead of meatballs and it is pretty damn tasty.
Oh you can have that one all to yourself. I either put Italian sausage in my meatballs- when I have time to make them or I cut them up and add them to my meat sauce. Italian sausage is awesome. I think it's the fennel. Last night I made Chili in the crockpot. I just added the raw beef and fixins' and let it cook. Turned out really good.
Putting back my post about my home made shrimp etouffee over the weekend. Used Chef Paul's recipe, it was great. It uses a half pound of real butter, guess its not so hot for the old arteries, but much cajun food is not. For "west Houstonians", got fresh shrimp with the heads at my seafood restaurant, they just started selling fresh shrimp, fish, and oysters. They boil crawfish in season. Orlando's Seafood Restaurant, on Highway 6 about 4 miles north of I-10, few blocks north of Clay Road. A real deal at lunch. Call before you go if looking for seafood, they just started and selection varies by the day.
Ouch! Too far for me. I'm glad you have a good seafood restaurant. I'm still trying to find one that isnt Whole Paycheck (foods) I had Beef Vindaloo and Naan- my favorite
Bar B Q Shrimp! Paul Prudhomme's recipe. Not as good as Pascal's Manale in New Orleans, but it scratched ma itch! Guy at Orlando's Rest. said if you stop by, tell him you heard about the place on TigerForums website. Edited: I went and looked for Manale's BBQ shrimp recipe, and I found it on NOLA.COM. They have a TON of GREAT recipes floating around on there these days, because so many people in NO lost their recipe collections in the flood waters. So, they ask if someone has a recipe, and folks from all over are sending them in. Most folks had them on 3X5 index cards in a box, and the box got flooded. Happy recipe hunting. I found one for Bon Ton Bread Pudding, and I used to eat lunch there sometime, and its great. I was looking for Elmwood Plantation Bread Pudding, but I didn't find that one. Anyone remember eating at Elmwood Plantation? One of my all time favorites. I used to get the quail with wild rice, end with the bread pudding. I think Elmwood burned down in the late 70's, a real shame. Saw a recipe for Oysters Mosca, I'm going to try that. Used to eat at Mosca's occasionally. Just a little ramble...
