For football fans in Louisiana.....what is more popular....LSU football, or New Orleans Saints football?

I remember seeing a survey on facebook not long ago asking this very question. The results showed that it was almost 50/50.

I love my Saints but my heart always geauxs with the Tigers.

But Drew Brees is the man:thumb:

Yeah I got to believe it's about the same. The passion is equal as I am fans of both teams.

It's hard to say who's bigger when they don't compete for the same fans. Most LSU fans are Saints fans and most Saints fans are LSU fans. LSU is a traditional football school while the Saints only got good the past few years, so it's a bigger deal when the Saints win the Super Bowl rather than when LSU wins a national title. Outside of New Orleans and BR, Saints fans aren't too abundant while LSU fans are more deep rooted across the state.

Saints fan in Mississippi are quite abundant as well as the entire Gulf Coast.

Saints now have a much bigger national following and were regarded as America's Team after the 09 season.

Saints fandom wanes as you get closer to the NW part of the state, as those inbred moronic people love the Cowboys.

Impossible to answer this question. That's like asking me which day is better, Saturday or Sunday. :thumb:

In my family, LSU has always been bigger than the Saints. Sure, then entire family is saints fans, but LSU has always come first. LSU has been around a hell of a lot longer than the saints, plus there's more to be proud of than just football.
