What ya'll think about Mizzou joining the SEC

    Why would the SEC approach Missouri with an offer? IMO they would/should be a fall back plan at best.

    Don't like it at all. Look at their records the last 10 seasons. SEC is only adding Missouri for TV dollars. Why add another Ole Miss or Kentucky to the conference?

    Missouri? TV dollars? What substantial media market do they bring in? Is St Louis that big of a Mizzou town?

    I can't say I'm thrilled about it. Some more poser tigers in the conference.
    You could say they are the 3rd or 4th at best team in their conference? They will be a bottom tier team in the SEC.

    I guess I have no first hand knowledge, but the media keeps protraying the St. Louis market as quite large. Maybe I am wrong.

    Hmmm...what do I think of Missouri in the SEC? I don't think of Mizzou at all!

    i absolutely hate the idea. they are suited for the big 10. not the sec.

    and st louis is a mizzou market.

    back in the day i was quite familiar with mizzou. but i dont remember now how much of the kansas city market they have. i think there are a lot of kansas and kansas state fans there too, to make it much more diluted. but from what i remember, st louis was pretty much all mizzou.

    that said, i still hate the idea.

    What's the alternative? I only like it if we add two from the east to go 16 (it's coming, might as well buy-in now). If we only add Mizzou along with A&M, then it would seem we'd have to send Bama and Barners east...I DO NOT like that.
