Uhh...nothing you posted contradicts my post, genius. The link you posted is for Total defense and the stats are the same as in my post. Here's a little exercise for you: Take the pass yds. listed on "your" link and divide them by the number of games each team has played. This will give you the pass yds. per game which is what I posted. OR, you can click on this NCAA link and see all the rankings yourself. That may be easier for you. I didn't conveniently leave anything out. I've said over and over ya'll are ahead in most every stat, although just slightly in many. I posted the pass defense rankings to illustrate the point that people haven't been running free in our secondary. We just happen to be ahead of LSU in that particular category. I don't know what you think you proved and I really don't care. You're a waste of time and pointless, to boot.NCAA stats
Hey, SNIFF, if you had any brains ... you'd be dangerous. You stated the LSU & GA dee ... not really much difference. Seems I threw some stats there showing ONE HELLUVA DIFFERENCE ... care to reread the post. LSU has twice the BLOCKS, WAY MORE TACKLES & RUSHES & GETS AN INCREDIBLE AMOUNT OF HITS ON OPP QBs. But then, you think Pollack is just as good as Lavalais. You'd probably trade in a Mercedes for a TransCamaro
I dont think he was talking about receivers breaking into the secondary. I took it to mean (and I thought the same thing myself) that running backs are not getting taken down at the line, or even front 7, therefor inflating the tackle numbers for the safeties. Ive kind of always believed that to be true. The front 7 should always have more tackles per player than the DBs. It could also be short route passes, too. Hitches, bubbles, and over the middle stuff. Generally, the LBs should be making those tackles.
More Dr. Pepper through my nose ... somebody please get a copy of those Transcamaro pics ... the ones that looked like a Batmobile ... from the Ole Miss threads ... way too funny.
Duckdawg, you've been a very gracious visitor here and welcome any time, as far as I'm concerned. You have eloquently stated your case as to how the game should and may play out. You are behind your team 100% and you hope like heck that they win. You are even optimistic that they have a decent chance of winning. I can't blame you, as I'd feel the same way if I were in your red shoes! The anticipation for this game has been incredible. I can't wait until Saturday night! It should be a dog fight! Well, actually, it'll be a fight between dogs and Tigers and you'd have to think that dogs wouldn't stand much of a chance against full-grown tigers, right?! Anyway, please don't pay any regard to ramah. He will continue to argue with you about how the game might go and why LSU is going to annihilate Georgia as long as you keep responding to what he posts. He will often do it in a juvenile, condescending and rude manner. That just appears to be his personality. While I admire his zeal and passion for the LSU Fighting Tigers, which I share, I am, frankly, often ashamed that he is a fellow Tiger fan. Best of luck to you and to the Georgia bulldogs in not sustaining any significant injuries while losing to the LSU Tigers for a second time this year!
That's good, SNIFF, now you can go back to GA forums and tell 'em you told us ... real good. Greene won't know WTF hit him ... this second time round. Neither will you rubes.
As the saying goes, "it'll be a fight like cats and dogs"... No doubt this is really anyone's game for the taking. I'm really disappointed that the national media and guru's aren't going to give the loser of this game an At-large bid--dispite the #3 vs #5 billing. While UGA is strong and sound on both sides of the ball, and playing well (as is LSU), but the one thing that gives me confidence is "16-13"--UGA vs UAB. 28 UGA 20
Thanks, Bengal...you summed up what I meant quite well. Like you, I've always believed that when your DB's are making that many tackles, it denotes a weakness somewhere along the front 8 in the box. That was the point I was trying to get across. You succeeded in doing so.
Don't let ramah run you off, DuckDawg. I personally welcome the rival posters like you over here that just want to talk football without smackwars. In my opinion, guys like ramah give the board character but I realize it's hard for rival posters to get over his "little man complex" sometimes when he makes things personal. Hell, I don't know, maybe ramah is a 330 lb ex-offensive tackle that just needs to get laid like someone else said.
