It may not have turned out like it was originally stated but I do believe it has helped reduce the ability of terrorists around the world. We're so self consumed in this country that many have forgotten 9/11 even happened. At a minimum this action has kept the issue in the news and hopefully kept us from being complacent as it was under the Slick Willy administration.
I haven't forgotten, but i know that 17 of the guys that were involved with 9-11 were from Saudi Arabia. And i also haven't forgotten that their base was in Afghanistan, and now in mountains that border and are in Pakistan. What does that have to do with Iraq? Nothing and it never did.
Forgotten in all this is that they agree on 80% of the reform measures. Why not pass the 80% and see where that takes us. Isn't that better than nothing?
One day you may actually be able to argue on the merits of healthcare in the United States without invoking Iraq or Bush. Of course you will have to have a plan that you can actually defend with logic and reason.
We certainly drew Al-Qaeda to Iraq but we went in for WMD's and didnt get them so Im not going to hang my hat on that.
Let the government show us they can save the billions promised before spending a penny more. I would like to see that first and foremost. Show me da money!
That doesn't advance the agenda although it is the right thing to do. In all fairness, my boss has a buddy who is in the home health business and apparently medicare is starting to get more involved and crack down on businesses like theirs and assumedly any other business that works with medicare. I genuinely hope this continues and works to eliminate costs.

Most observers believe it has greatly increased Al Qaida recruitment by providing evidence that the US is a danger to Islamic countries. :huh: :insane: Are you suggesting that the Iraq War is justified for keeping 9/11 in the news? When it had nothing at all to do with 9/11? How does it keep 9/11 in the news? It has overwhelmed 9/11 on the news and completely distracted our government at the worst possible time, causing them to fail to destroy Al Qaida.
Both your points scare me as they're typical of the liberal opinion that if we just sit around, smoke a few joints, and act nice to everyone we'll be loved and there will never be another war. Thankfully that opinion is not shared by everyone in this country. Our military does more for this country than our professors! We sat around on our hands under your beloved Clinton and we see where they got us. Islamic countries should know we're watching them. That's where the people who want all non-Muslims eradicated live. Free love baby!
