Then why mention it if it's not an issue? You are completely obsessed with Obama, dude.

Re read my statement DUDE...I covered all bases left, right PRO & anti Obama. The whole point was to cover ALL spectrums of the argument. I think you are obsessed with those who disagree. Is your identity so wrapped up in his you are too thin skinned to enjoy a light hearted comment.

    Get the F over it!

Yeah, you covered all bases. It didn't need to be covered. The article has nothing to do with Obama any more than it has to do with Reagan or Bush. You're so obsessed with Obama though that you just automatically insert him into everything. I don't know any liberals as obsessed with Obama as you are. What next? You going to start dropping pro/anti-Obama comments in LSU threads?

    Seek help, man...

I dislike Obama as much as anyone here but...I am going with his decisions on this. Obama might have been warned about ISIS and several other possible organizations. What do you take seriously if you are the President? Our entire goal was to leave Iraq with a govt. Stable? That is to be debated but we were not supposed to stay indefinitely. We went in and dethroned Hussein, fought Shia militants, fought Al Qaeda insurgents, and killed Osama Bin Laden. So now ISIS comes up. Yes, they are now a threat. We go in and eliminate them and then what? Go home happy or gear up for the next American Haters. This shit doesn't end with any organization and every president is going to have to decide when to use force and when not to. And the other side will always disagree and seem petty doing so. I can't wait until the next Republican president (could be 6 years) takes action. Oh is that going to be outrageous!

Pretty impressive turnaround for isis....almost NBA-level.

    January....
"The analogy we use around here sometimes, and I think is accurate, is if a JV team puts on Lakers uniforms that doesn’t make them Kobe Bryant,” Obama told Remnick. “I think there is a distinction between the capacity and reach of a bin Laden and a network that is actively planning major terrorist plots against the homeland versus jihadists who are engaged in various local power struggles and disputes, often sectarian." No boots on the ground. That is not an option.

    Today....
"Asked if the hardline Sunni Muslim organization posed a threat to the United States comparable to that of the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, Hagel said it was "as sophisticated and well-funded as any group we have seen....They are beyond just a terrorist group. They marry ideology, a sophistication of strategic and tactical military prowess...This is beyond anything we have seen, and we must prepare for everything"

Laying the groundwork for boots on the ground it seems.

" U.S. officials say they have not ruled out escalating military action against Islamic State, which has increased its overt threats against the United States since the air campaign in Iraq began.

    'APOCALYPTIC, END-OF-DAYS VISION'

"We haven't made a decision to take additional actions at this time, but we truly don't rule out additional action against ISIL if it becomes warranted," Ben Rhodes, a senior Obama aide, told National Public Radio earlier on Thursday, using another name for Islamic State.

General Martin Dempsey, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, said officials were worried about the possibility that European or U.S. nationals, radicalized after fighting in Iraq or Syria, would return to their home countries.

Dempsey suggested Islamic State would remain a danger until it could no longer count on safe havens in areas of Syria under militant control.

"This is an organization that has an apocalyptic, end-of- days strategic vision and which will eventually have to be defeated," Dempsey said.

"To your question, can they be defeated without addressing that part of their organization which resides in Syria? The answer is no. That will have to be addressed on both sides of what is essentially at this point a non-existent border."
