That was the only time I voted Democrat. Was the 91 run-off. I would rather vote for corruption than hatred.
I'm not trying to drag politics into this discussion, but if racism has an effect on recruiting (which is what I was reading into the post I was replying to), then LSU needs to come to grips with the fact that David Duke is an LSU grad who used to stink up Free Speech Alley in his day with his nazi uniforms and hatred. I moved away from Louisiana shortly after he got elected to the legislature from his Bucktown district, so I was not around to vote in the Edwards vs Duke election but I totally understand your voting decisison there.

that means a specific area of people in the state voted for him.. Not the whole state. you can have pockets of idiots but that doesn't represent the whole state. Just like some parishes vote democrat and some republican. George Wallace had the people of Alabama behind him and Kennedy had to send the National Guard to enforce what was the right thing to do. Those students were hero's . I cant imagine myself having the courage to do that if the situation was reversed.
