I'm trying to get some work done but am finding it completely impossible.

A good friend's wife and daughter miraculously decided to head up to Winter Park to spend the night with friends, so we actually have his house all to ourselves, no kids for this one, just lots of whiskey and Tiger football.

We were going to the bar (driving down to B.R. fell through,) but with the Broncos playing tonight, there won't be a single bar TV in town with the LSU game on (with sound, anyway.)

Can't freaking wait. Just gotta pick up my daughter from school, meet my wife at swim lessons at 4:00, then I can FINALLY start drinking.

Y'all all be careful and have fun today! I wish I was there!!

If at all possible, right now would be the best time to get out there if your tailgating or just want to get a good spot. Not too many people out there. I'd guess by about 12 or 1 the crowd will start to thicken a little bit. I'm still trying to find a ticket to get in....

What? A guy of your stature can't get in.
scrap, just tell them you promote the Tigers on the show, maybe they will let you in for free.

funny....its too bad that things arent like that anymore lol..it used to be anyone could get in the press area...things were a lot easier at all major sporting events...case and point...in the mid 80's, my dad was about 19 years old and worked for a small AM station in BFE Missouri.....the station was like 100 watts at nite..it wasnt exactly a blow torch..but, he was able to get field passes for all cardinals football and baseball games in st.louis. He would go in the locker room, stand at the batting cages, it was unreal. Now, things are just to strict.

In Houston, we are asked by the mayor to work from home today if possible, which it is for me. So I'm at home.

Only problem, since Sat. the cable has been off and on. Last night it was off for several hours. If that happens for the game, I'll be REALLLL disappointed! You guys will have to tell me about it when the cable comes back up.

Strange day all over the place, I guess.

I'm getting ready to leave work in a few minutes. Between having to get both of my young daughters bathed and fed before gametime, I hope I don't miss kickoff!

    Saturdays are MUCH easier!
