What team in the SEC do you hate

Discussion in 'The Tiger's Den' started by Swamprat, Nov 18, 2003.

  1. 1. Florida, classless, bandwagon, obnoxious
    2. Bama, beat us too many damn times, most crooked program in the country, see 3rd set of NCAA violations-probation
    3. Auburn, Tubberville, rumor mongers, classlessness
    4. Arkansas, wanna be's

Thats about it, everyone else is cool.

Hate is relative to the specific games played. For instance, in the 60's & early 70's we had a lot of tough games with Ole Miss that generated "hate" . More recently it has been Auburn, Florida, Arkansas, etc.
This thread said SEC, so I still would have to go with Ole Miss (Mannings) with a close second to Auburn (cigar issue Tuberville).

Outside the SEC it is definitely Ohio State, Penn State, Florida State & USC for me.

Florida- Even now that they've slipped a little, their fans ooze arrogance, an arrogance only barely justified by the one period in their entire school history when they have been truly successful- 12 years of Steve Spurrier. Granted, the Gators kicked massive amounts of posterior during those 12 years, but jeez, how about you sustain that success for two decades or more, like Alabama, before you decide you are King Emeritus of the SEC. Also, try dominating like that now, not when the SEC was noticeably weaker in the mid to late 90s.

That arrogance is most evident in the Fire Ron Zook crowd. The man has taken a frosh-laden team to an 8-3 record, with losses to Top 15 teams Miami, Tennessee, and Ole Miss, and wins over Top 10 teams LSU and Georgia, and to within a hair's breadth of the SEC East title. Yet they scream for his head louder than ever, believing that, just because they are the mighty Florida Gators, they should win 10 ball games a year, and all should just bow before them and make way as they flatten us all.

PLEASE!!! Get over yourselves, Gator fans! The days of Spurrier domination are over forever, a new era of parity has come to the SEC. You want to win SEC Championships every year, you are gonna have to hunker down and fight like the devil to get them. DEAL WITH IT!!!!

Since I grew up an aggie fan and still make it to every home game, I hate bama the most. Fran is far from perfect but far from what bama makes him out to be. They wouldnt even let him come back to say bye to his players. Besides, they bring white trash to a new level.

I hate Bama too but are you sure that it was Bama that wouldn't let FranLefttheScenecione say bye bye to his players or that Francine didn't give a damn enough about them to bother? After all he has their phone numbers. He could have called them privately and gotten together at a restaurant or someplace if he really cared enough to part with them on a good note. After all the man didn't even have the class to shake Saban's hand after last years game.

That is a good point and I dont know that he didnt call them personally. I do know that the bama officials said to him, if you get on that plane to meet with a&m officials then dont even bother coming back, and that meant to say bye to players too.

I dont think that Fran is the most caring individual, I have now gone to two schools that he has coached at. I went to a&m where he is the current coach. I am a current student at Texas State, formerly southwest texas state. Many years ago, Fran was the coach here. So, I have seen both sides.

The bottom line is coaching is a business. It is more of a business to some than others. It is just about all business to Fran. I guess we will find out about Saban at the end of the season.

Im sorry if this doesnt make sense, Ive been drinking alot of shiner bock tonight, lol.

    Whoever Thomas Tuberville is coaching.
As each of you in here shall bear witness, I shall outlive Thomas Tuberville, smoke a Fat Cohiba Siglo IV and tip the ashes onto his grave ... all the while urinating on his remains. If the carcass is cremated and he's kept upon a mantlepiece, I shall or shall pay someone to burglarize the place of interment (URN) and then I shall commit the aforementioned atrocities. Nothing personal.
