What "Sweets" did you have today?

1/2 of a real cupcake made to be like a Hostess Cupcake. It was awesome.

then

1/2 of a strawberry cup cake. Not as awesome as the other one.

 

I am obsessed.

and beer just doesnt go well with it. or it doesnt go well with beer.

 

i am having a cake craving. nothing fancy, just plain ol' cake. i think im gonna make a yellow butter cake with fudge icing.

edit: cake is yummy. i have a great, and easy, fudge icing recipe if anyone is interested....

5 Tablespoons butter
1/3 cup milk
1 cup sugar
6 ounces chocolate chips

melt butter in pan, add milk and sugar, stir till boiling. boil for one minute until sugar dissolved. remove from heat and cool for one minute. stir in chocolate chips till smooth and melted. will easily ice a 9x13 cake.

i use ghirardelli chocolate chips. the better the chips, the better the icing.

 

Some Bluebell "The Great Divide" (half chocolate/half homemade vanilla) with M & M's on top.

 

damn near a whole box of Famous Amos chocolate chip and pecan cookies, with a whole lot of milk.
