LF7 got 187 carries his freshman year, but LF7 was a much bigger kid than Emery is.

Emery is more similar to Etienne than anything, however Clemson has a much more dynamic offense than we do. I would agree he could be a feature back from the get go; I just dont trust our coaches to get it done.

I also wouldn't count out Curry or Provens making strides in the offseason.

Well Emery aint a power back. He has elite vision and speed tho!

Yeah, you're right but on his highlight video I saw he literally puts some defenders on their ass when he's picking up blitzes so he's not going to tip toe through the hole like Bross often did.

No but the SEC is much different than high school. I think LF7 was 230 as a freshman.

When I think power back, I think those like LF7 or Henry that can take 280+ carries a season.

I think Guice came in as a freshman around 210. Hit his stride with vision and power at around 220. Emery looks faster on the field tho!!

I agree about CEH, but that only speaks about how disappointing Brosette was haha. Those are good points, and to be honest, I can’t reasonably argue with them other than to say that someone has to see a significant rise in snap and given Emery’s talent I think he ends up doing it. Probably more about opportunity than anything else. Although a 240 pound back makes my mouth water. Love the ground and pound guys.

I just dont trust our coaching to make it happen lol. We reasonably should be able to have them churning it out from the get go. Emery would be a dagger in space.

6’7” and yes. Just launch it his way every time he’s 1-on-1. He did very well using his body to catch the slant this year and there’s no reason he can’t be a stud.

If he can run like Barry Sanders I don't care if he has power or not.

As long as we are including incoming freshmen watch out for Derek Stingley Jr.

I did consider putting him on there. I couldn’t remember if Fulton was a senior or not. I just can’t imagine Stingley taking over Fulton’s or Vincent’s spot given how skinny he is right now. It certainly has happened before though PP7.
