You might be a Tiger fan if.... a) You sat through that entire ass beating Miami put on us in the mid 80's with no protection from or concern for the weather. b) You were around in the Curly era and still showed up for the games knowing he was still the coach.
My life is based around Tiger football. Saturdays are a must to watch the game if not my house, a friends house, death valley or opponents stadium then at a bar. My wife knows to plan anything around the game because we are going to watch it come hell or high water. I think a true fan supports them in the thick and the thin like in the 90s and now. I went to LSU in the mid to late 90s(funnest 6 years of my life) and have not missed a game since. It has been truly great to get behind a team that is winning consistantly now and getting great recruits. I have an LSU flag waving in my front yard and my game room is decked out in LSU stuff. I cant wait for this saturday to watch LSU stomp Fresno into the ground. :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
I like that one- start 'em young! ..... May God bless you & all the people who work with kids. :thumb:
1. In 1983 or 1984, I forget which, I got my best friend's 2 year old son to say, "Geaux Tigers", while watching LSU beat Bama. (and his dad was one of the most die hard bama fans there is, and he was at work at the time). That dude wanted to kick my a$$. But all was cool, and I would always look at the little guy and say, "whatdya say", and he would growl and say "Geaux tigas". Too cool. 2. Posting on this thread. 3. Being born that way. 4. And just like being a Saints fan, always being supportive no matter how any of our teams are doing.
I can't go there LVT, She might look funny. :yelwink2: But she is wearing an LSU Cheerleader uniform for Halloween. Probably her last year to Trick or Treat (3rd grade), in fact she wasn't but she and 4 friends all got the uniform so they want to flaunt it. My other is almost 12, unfortunately I think she's starting to like the football uniforms for different reasons. I pray that she never ends up with some *** hole like her mother did
Bleed Purple N Gold Being born in BR and growing up a Tiger fan was just natural. Graduated from LSU and coached players who currently play football for the Tigers is great. Didn't work out for other players though due to conflicts with past staffs (DiNardo). That's coaching business and you have to separate the two when an athlete and their best interest is involved. So many highs and lows over the decades. Great memories and great pride in all sports, and heart-breaking losses and beat downs as well. So many games... Tried to have Pre-Game played at our wedding before my bride walked down the aisle....it didn't happen, but that would have been pretty cool. The Tigers beat Tulane on our wedding night as well. :thumb: LSU! LSU! Tiger Pride Never Dies! LSU!
You've been pimped? . Just in case any posters don't know it's a show, not a show of disrespect to the lady. :thumb:
You are absolutely correct! What "qualifies" would be the correct terminology! Why should a Die Hard LSU fan justify being a fan?
I skipped High School homecoming dances to be in Tiger Stadium during the Hallman years. If that's not dedication, I don't know what is.
