    You make a very good point. It also kind of goes with your attempted trap on the Camping issue, because if I defend the televangelist, I'm a religious nutjob, but if I attack him, I'm arrogantly rejecting his beliefs.

    I would say (because to again make the point, God does not do hocus pocus) that faith does not preclude common sense. My personal experience with the chest pains does not tell me that I can make any ailment go away with prayer, and I don't try. Not to mention, no matter how much I pray for health, eventually I will die. And no matter how much you rely on science (medicine) for your health, eventually you will die too.

    However, I've never met a doctor who doesn't believe that a positive attitude helps in the healing process, which goes back to my comparison of prayer to meditation.
