Hester will not play running back!!!! He will be a full back or linebacker.

I somehow see Hester at Linebacker. LSU is already loaded at running back and has two very good fullbacks in Stetz and Jones. Hester is 6'3 225 now and he will gain weight in college.

Hester is 5'10.5 - 6' not 6'3. He is supposedly 235-240. He said in the newspaper today that LSU wanted him as a fullback. Fullback is a runningback. They are not looking at him as a halfback. They do not use the FB position very often. Maybe, they plan on using it more in the future. Or maybe they just think Hester is a good football player that will be an asset regardless of position.

Hester is 5'10". Recruited solely as a

    fullback.

I got the 6'3 from some post I read on this forum. I don't know that it is accurate now that you mention it. At LSU the fullback position is not a running back. LSU fullbacks didn't have a single carry all this year although FB/Tight End David Jones did catch a couple of passes from the fullback slot. I don't know what the deal was between Hester and Texas but he was so committed to the Horns that he had a Longhorn tattooed on his arm. If he is as talented a ball carrier as he is cracked up to be I can't see him switching to LSU to carry the football at most 2 or 3 times a season but he just might turn out to be a hell of a linebacker.

I think if Jay Lucas comes to LSU, before he leaves LSU, he will be the best running back to ever grace Tiger Stadium. I'm telling you, the dude is that good. I've seen him play live 2 times and he put on clinics. His numbers weren't that great this year because him and Robert Johnson shared carries. I've heard from people that he has committed to LSU, but hasn't gone public with it. Geaux Tigers!

Jay Lucus still wants in at LSU real badly, but academically he may not be able to qualify this year.

Oh, Max Emfinger has Jacob Hester listed as an Ultimate Super Seven as a fullback/H-Back. He's definitely no slouch.

I think there may be a couple who are academically eligible for TOPS. Helps ole Nick out quite a bit.
