we are not evolved from monkeys. monkeys are a different branch. we are evolved from apes in the sense that we are ourselves apes. also it doesnt make sense that if we evolved from something that that thing would no longer exist. your existence doesnt mean your sister doesnt exist does it? she might evolve a whole different tree and be a mutant and whatever, while you and youe descendants stay quite similar to your mother, perhaps because she moves to different region and faces different forces that reward particular adaptations. your quote indicates many level of terrible misunderstanding.
