What is it?

    Almost all tools are levers. But this tool has a specific function. You can pull something with it, but that is not its primary use.

    Am I correct in thinking that the tines on the end are at about a 30 deg. angle from perpendicular to the handle? It also looks like the cross piece of the handle is parallel to the tines. Is this correct?

    The photo was a bad angle and possibly foreshortened. I believe that the crossbar is at right angles to the handle and the tines are at a right angle to the crossbar, but I am not sure. Here is a better photo. About 28 inches long and about 6 pounds, kind of heavy.

    Is that rubber or some other type coating down by the tines?

    BTW, I'm getting no help from the rest of the forum. Come on people!

    where do you guys get these photos of mystery things? i tried to do it once and it was impossible.

    Most of these guys are really really old so they used to use these tools b/c they are old. Also, they are old.
