Or go to a lobbyist or politician.:po:
Corruption and power in government is no different than that of the private sector.
Politicians always gets a pass because they do stuff for the greater good, good intentions!
Human nature is just that for almost anyone who has power and money.

Read this article and tell me why you support a public option. Health insurance companies are not making immoral profits as you and other liberals would have us to believe.

FACT CHECK: Health insurers' profits 35th of 53 - Yahoo! News

This is the part we can all agree that needs some reform or regulation.
That can be done without a public option.

I don't understand why it has to be one way or the other, other than the government taking control over another part of the economy.
Our health care and services aren't that bad today, just needs a little tweaking not a whole new program we can't afford!

No i know that, and i agree, i think politicians are crooked and are only influenced by the people who give them campaign contributions. But if government can give me cheaper healthcare, not look at pre existing conditions, and not drop me when they find out i am sick, then i will stick with government, because i am paying for it anyway.

Let me say this then, i would totally be for regulating the crap out of insurance companies. If they stopped denying people coverage, and 86'd the term pre existing illness, and made it affordable, and drugs affordable, i would be on board with that.

I agree with this also although I'm not sure about how far to regulate other than above.
Here is the sticking point but there are some things we could consider here.
Deregulate so that if I live in Colorado I can purchase from a different state.
Regulations, some are good and some are bad!

Also, when you pay cash for services and merchandise its usually cheaper than when you pay third party.
Maybe we should also have some kind of personal account for illness or well being so that when you went to the hospital or doctor you could pay cash for some of those services for starters?
That would help lower prices BUT you could only use that account for medical needs!

I'm not denying that some health carriers tend to be anal when it comes to interpreting coverage. There are many ways to interpret some of the insurance-ese in policies and you can't run to the courts everytime they interpret in their favor. There's a push for making insurance companies use "plain language" and that's the type of legislation I would support. If you could go to another carrier who is more liberal in coverage grants you would, and Blue Cross would eventually adapt or die. That's the key. Allow competition among existing carriers. It would cost nothing and the free market would bring premium costs down. Getting the government involved in providing health insurance is tantamount to throwing the baby out with the bath water.

Anytime a politician doesn't or won't sign on to something for him or his family
that he provides for everyone else should be a red flag to the rest of us.

Our presidents kids can go to private schools but they take the vouchers away from us so ours can't do the same.
How is that for providing service to the poor?
Only the rich can send their kids to the school of choice and yes that includes a democrat administration.
I don't take up or defend any politician anymore and I don't belong to a party.
No one represents where I stand.
The way I see it there are 2 classes of people in this country.
Those that are in power and above us and then there is the rest of us!

Why the hell should a politician or his family have better priviledges or be treated like royalty?
