Who else will they face that presents that problem other than the little dickhead down in college station? The ole myth dude maybe but they don't butter their bread with a running qb that I've noticed.
Alabama took a big hit on the offensive line but their defense looks a lot like the 2011 LSU defense flying to the ball. Georgia's defense is horrible. Jameis Winston lived up to his hype and I think Florida State wins ACC. ACC is the 2nd best conference in football right behind the SEC.
I tend to think we just didn't prepare for it. Pachall was THE GUY. Nobody expected the runner to come in. It's actually a pretty smart move on Patterson's part...one that I kinds wish our coach would have had the courage to make in a certain BCSCG that is not to be mentioned.
Exactly right they weren't prepared for it, but adjusted to it fairly well. A read option running QB is not hard to defend if you prepare for it in advance. Putting in a running or dual threat QB is catchup football 101. Les put in Jefferson when Lee was struggling in the November game. Bama wasn't ready for an option attack. LSU won the true National Championship game since it was held at the football capital of the South. @TUSKtimes did I get that right? Not the championship part, the capital thinggy. LSU lost that certain exhibition game because Bama was ready for it, they had a scrimmage game against Georgia Southern and got a blueprint of how to stop LSU under Jefferson's command courtesy of the Georgia Bulldogs in the SECCG. LSU didn't change the offensive game plan or plan for Bama's passing game. Les had the attitude of, "I have beaten you once with this game plan, I'll do it again". We all know how that turned out.
