If Texas loses they will drop out of the top-5 and USC will remain #1.

If USC loses, they will be considered to be the best 1-loss team in the country and will drop to #2.

If both lose, then USC will be considered to be the best 1-loss team in the country and will remain at #1.

Southern Cal is annointed. They are a cinch for the BCS title game if they win or lose.

I would think if Texas loses in the next two weeks, it would also drop tOSU out of BCS contention and drop PSU to 4th... as the three are closely bonded from their little triangle of games.

Bottom Line, I don't think LSU passes Penn State, even with a blow out of Arky and a solid win against UGA. Currently the BCS average is Penn 0.8900 and LSU 0.8372. That is a huge gap in BCS terms. I don't think we will be helped a great deal even if our previous opponents win.

I don't know if it's possible for us to squeak in or not, but at this point in the season in '03, we didn't think we'd get in, either. But at least we WERE #3 in the BCS.
