What does Jarrett Lee say to Les Miles at 1030 pm on January 9th?

    Why is the loss of one starting position more egregious than the loss of any other starting position?

    Where is the outrage for the right guards, the left tackles, the tight ends, etc.. that this has happened to?

    Does this not happen all the time in the course of football    ?

    I’d bet that some of the experts on this board could find other cases (on this very team, this year, or in previous seasons) when the coaches have shifted the starting position from one individual to another, based solely on what they are seeing in practice and their assessment of ability. Yet, in those non-QB cases the fanbase is largely silent.

    The objective of football is for the team to win, not to be fair to certain individuals. JL knows this and I’m sure he’s not happy about losing the position – but he knows this is how the game is played.

    In fact, it’s very likely that somewhere along the way, JL supplanted some other, well-deserving young player during his rise to fame as a Texas High School star.

    In short, Les Miles is doing the right thing - he's using those players (at RG, LT, TE and QB) that provide the best chance for the team to win.

    Let it go and enjoy the victory.

    Great perspective. Totally agree.

    Could you imagine any LSU player having that kind of attitude toward Les Miles?

    I'm sure T-Bob would still like to be playing center, he was actually starting to play really well.

    if you and Red can only watch the game based on what happens to JL I feel sorry for you guys

    JL understands JJ is the starter and when they are both on a even field JJ goes and JL sits. JL gets in the game as needed and of course since he is a Tiger I am very proud of every moment he gets!

    This is a you issue and not a me issue - punkie Boy !!!

    I know some don't want to hear it or will just strike it off as rumor but no one should feel bad for Lee right now. He is blowing off his classes still and has been since before the Bama game. I thought it was going to get squared away after the WKU game but it hasn't.

    Well, Les has stated that Lee is not being punished for anything and no one will come forward with a source, so what else can we call it but a rumor?
