1. It's over folks. With 2 games remaining, the QB "controversy" has been settled. JL will go down as one of my favorite Tigers of all time based on his character and what he has done for his team this year. But it's over. A dead horse won't pull your wagon no matter how much you beat him.

  2. I agree, also. This situation will be the ONLY reason I'll be glad when the season ends.
  3. oh my God - really people

Les put him in the next series !!! just chill and give all this a break

JL has his moments and he is the 2nd string QB

    always was
  4. But it's therapeutic to vent.

    Oh my! You ungrateful phuck.
  5. Let's just go with the facts:

    1. 2 Senior quarterbacks, both of whom have struggled in the past
    2. They split the starts this year
    3. Neither will be a high draft pick, if picked at all
    4. They both go undefeated in the regular season
    5. They both get credit for leading this team to the SECCG and BCSCG
    6. Coach is in a no win situation, he can't please everyone, based on who plays
    7. Ultimately, the point is to win, so Miles was right

Perhaps we would be better off if we just let it go.

  6. We haven't had a 1st string QB for four years. We've had two 2nd string QBs but one the coach (for whatever reason) likes more.

Maybe he's concerned some players won't play for Lee...maybe he prefers a running QB to a passing QB...etc Who knows? Regardless...neither separated themself as being a good QB.

As many of us have said before, this team has so much talent you don't have to have a good QB to win. Many of us thought the two QB rotation worked well with these guys and would lead us to the title.

Jefferson has not set the world on fire and all the hate comments toward Lee are based on a few plays against Alabama. Other than that Lee played well all season. JJ didn't score any TDs against Alabama and it was the defense who saved our ass.

I'm also glad both these guys are moving on. They've played hard but neither became what we hoped. I've never seen a kid get as many opportunities as JJ and it just has never clicked.

I was glad to see Lee get the loudest cheers yesterday when the seniors were announced as he saved the big games last season and got us through many ranked opponents this year.

Why JJ was still throwing the ball with a few minutes to go made no sense. Then bringing Lee in to hand off was worse. There's more to this story than any of us know. Hopefully we'll find out after the season.

The only red flag I've seen is the offense has looked lost and confused to start the past few games. The defense and special teams have played well so it hasn't been an issue. Our depth at defense continues to destroy teams in the second half.

I just hope we don't get too conservative or lose too much field position on offense to start against Georgia. JJ panicked early yesterday against a team without a good defense. Georgia's defense is much better.

  7. I agree, we should let it go and enjoy the rest of this wonderful season. To a large degree, both QB's have gotten us to where we are, but to a larger degree it has been at the decision making of Miles. That is what he gets paid the big dollars for. Maybe Miles has to "look at the backend of the season" and make sure his team gets to that point, whether fair or not to the players.Miles seems to be able to do that without distraction. Miles has an obligation to play the best guys that give his team the best chance to win. We have lots of dicussion about the fair treatment fo JL, but look at other positions on the team. Why are we not worried about T-Bob's feelings of not being a starter, or Spencer Ware or Ford being seemingly passed over by Hilliard at this point in the season? Was Ware not a large part of our first 8 games and helped lead us to victory? Should we not be expunging Miles for Ware's decrease of offensive playing time? LSU arrived at this point with lots of working and non working parts. I say, as fans, we continue to enjoy the ride, because I can guarantee you the Players are.
  8. I might be wrong here.....but it sure seems like Lee is in Coach Miles' dog house, I really think coach used this not being in classes thing to punish lee. I do believe that Jordan Jefferson has EARNED the starting qb position, I was a huge Lee supporter, but Jefferson clearly give us the best chance to win now. I do give Lee huge credit for what he did this year! I just think coach miles could have put lee in a little earlier, that's what leads me to believe coach's dog house is occupied.
  9. Damn right it's biased. The better player plays. That's how it works. This aint little league. Go play your Nintendo crybaby.
