Salty, you & 23 seem unable to understand the difference between our personal feelings of disagreeing with the act, yet believing it is an act protected by the constitution.
It's your buying into this "act protected by the constitution" that I have a problem with. My loyalty my country, and her flag, trumps some supreme court ruling. One day it will be fixed.
a couple questions: 1, if i sew my own flag, and burn that, are you angry? 2. what if i draw it with markers? 3. what if i draw it poorly with pencils and the colors are pretty off and it looks terrible and burn that? what if i write the words "american flag" on a piece of paper and burn that? is that ok? how good does the symbol have to be before my burning it will make you angry? what if i write the words "american flag" on a piece of paper and burn that? is that ok? who do you think you are to tell me what i can and cannot burn? my stuff is my stuff!
Uh, you mean trumps the Constitution? "The right to freedom of speech allows individuals to express themselves without interference or constraint by the government." http://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/index.php/First_amendment
1. i live in new jersey. 2. there is a west coast met game coming on now (10). 3. even i was going somewhere, i wouldnt leave until later. plus i am relatively anti-social and i often get tired of people, including my own friends, and i like being alone.
Just don't stand in my way if I see someone doing it. You would, most likely, get stepped on. Whether the "act" is made illegal or not, my actions upon seeing someone doing it will always be illegal. I'm fine with this.
Fine. Kick some hippie's a$$. I don't care. That doesn't make the act any less constitutionally protected.
