I will never support taking from one to give to another. The rich are rich and good for them. If the poor don't want to be poor, do something about it.

There is a reason I said that it could be argued but chose not to.

Where does what say it? Where does this unknown object say what you said?

As I said & you seem to have ignored, either become poorer or at least not got richer as quickly.

There is no way for the system to not be stacked to the benefit of the rich (and still run efficiently). They can afford better education, health care, and have extra income to invest to get a better return on.

I will not either. Nor will I support giving special tax breaks to those of us who enjoy the most benefits of being an American. It allows them to widen the gap without having worked for it. That is also taking from one to give to another.

I'm not saying that we take Trumps money and distribute it to the homeless. I'm saying make people who get the bulk of their income from royalties, dividends, and capital gains pay the same rates as the middle class who work for a salary.

But they earned that money. They should be able to benefit from it. You want to punish them for being rich. Smacks of envy to me.

They may have inherited it. They may have won a lawsuit or the lottery. Many did not earn it.

that's not what he's saying at all. He's saying that if you make your money on dividends and inheritence, you should pay the same tax rate on that income as payroll taxes. Payroll taxes are higher than capitol gains, inheritence and stock dividends rates.

Why do you want to punish the people who earn their living by payroll? are you rich and make most of your money on stock dividends, inheritence, capital gainsetc. or do you make most of your money on a payroll? if it's on a payroll, smacks of delusion to me.

Doesn't matter. It's their money and the fact that it's not yours' somehow bothers you. I can't help you with that. Kinda like my brother-in- law. He never met a dollar he didn't think was rightfully his.

Wrong, it's no more their money than my paycheck is mine. I don't want them to pay more taxes, just the same. If I pay 28% federal taxes on my income, then they should pay the same on their income.
