I try not to collect anything. Broomhilda on the other hand has been somewhat of a Fred Sanford protege for the last few years. I clear out the garage and turn it into my man cave and before long its full of crap again. She actually had a garage sale and took the money and went and bought more stuff at other peoples garage sales. If I had not been in iraq at the time I just may have collected another ex wife. But,... the saga continues.
i collected every copy of the reveille from last fall. i have every article, cover page and story from the 2007 football season. Whenever i get around to it, i want to put it together as some kind of championship book type thing. If anyone has any ideas, please share.
I cannot, for the life of me, understand collecting random "crap." I'm always trying to rid my life of clutter, not add to it. I haven't participated in either buying or selling at a garage sale since the summer of '88, right before I was going to LSU. I had cleaned out my room and closet, and our next door neighbor was having a garage sale, so I brought my stuff over and worked the sale. Our neighbor had a friend who brought some stuff to sell, too. Namely, USED underwear from her kids--stained, dingy, off-white undies. And you know what? People were fighting over them, and they sold out the quickest. That turned me off for life. How does one put their precious child in used underwear?
gotta agree. i dont do garage sales either. i guess ill miss getting that rare van gogh that someone thought was their uncle's sister's paint by number painting.:hihi:
Most people don't get rid of underwear until it is ready for the rag bag anyway. They do make good shop rags. But used clothes sell in garage sales. Nothing surprises me.
