The carr fire up north, the big one at the moment was caused by, are you ready...a flat tire. Somebody was driving their car, got a flat tire and when the rim hit the road, it sparked. 275 sq. miles burned. 1600 structures gone (almost 1100 homes), 7 people dead. All from a flat tire. We had one of the dryest winters on record. With the hottest summer on record, this fire season is going to be epic...and it just started.
Carr fire is horrible. The firefighters doing work in 100+ temps is beyond. Air quality today is really bad from the smoke. I think .06 ozone puts you in the red and my area is at .05. The other side of the range is far worse at a full 1.0.
