God, I hope Matt is OK

Nothing could be worse than having to start a QB with very little,
if any experience in the Championship game.

Hope you guys are right about Matt being ok.

I don't know exactly whrere but I read an article a few days ago that DIRECTLY QUOTED Mauck as saying he was fine.

Man some people really DO have too much time on their hands!

I heard it when i got in my car today too, He was just saying that people have been saying Mauck had appendicitis, but when they watched him at practice (today?) he looked just fine. There isn't anything wrong with him.

Did y'all even read the paper? Matt Mauck thought it was increidible how these rumors got started. He said he only had food poisoning.

If someone is diagnosed with an acute appendicitis this is normally a surgical emergency. In this country if someone is given this diagnosis they are immediately scheduled for an emergency appendectomy. Often the procedure is done with a laporascope so as to decrease recovery time. I suspect when he was said to have food poisoning that the possibility of an appendicitis was entertained. If has developed symptoms within the last few hours then we'll be reading about how the surgery went in tomorrow's paper

Are USC fans spreading these rumors? They're trying to break the team chemistry...

I know someone who works in a local hospital. This person tells me that Mauck definitely has/is developing appendicitis. They are giving him all the drugs they can to keep it under control until after the Sugar Bowl, at which point he will probably have to have his appendix removed.
